Privacy notice
Effective October 4, 2026
This notice explains what personal data Valuation Studios collects when you use valuationstudios.com, including the shop, your account, the Private Edition and our emails, why we use it, and your rights.
Who we are
Valuation Studios is run by VIGIL ANALYTICS GROUP LTD, registered in England and Wales, company number 17118935 ("we", "us"). We are the controller of your personal data. Contact us about anything in this notice at support@valuationstudios.com.
What we collect
You give us:
- Account details: your email address, and your name if you sign in with Google.
- Purchase details: what you bought, the price, the date, and your billing country (for tax). Card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store them.
- Consent records: when you tick the box agreeing that access to digital content starts immediately, we record the time and the version of the wording.
- What you put into the Private Edition: your spring week planner entries (status, dates, priorities, notes) and lesson progress.
- Waitlist sign-ups: your email address and the time you agreed to hear from us.
- Messages: anything you send us by email.
Collected automatically:
- Technical data: the IP address, browser type and pages requested, recorded in our hosting providers' server logs for security and to keep the site working.
- Sign-in and session cookies: see our cookie notice.
We don't use advertising trackers or email open tracking, and we don't sell your data. We count page visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies, doesn't identify you and only produces anonymous totals (such as page views, referring sites and countries).
Why we use it, and our lawful basis

Who we share it with
We use these service providers to run the site. They process data only on our instructions:
- Stripe (payments and tax)
- Vercel (website hosting)
- Railway (database hosting)
- Resend (sending emails)
- Bunny.net (video streaming)
- Google, only if you choose Google sign-in
We may also share data with professional advisers, or where the law requires it (for example with HMRC).
International transfers
Some providers store or process data outside the UK, including in the EU and the US. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by UK adequacy regulations (including the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified) or by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
How long we keep it

Your rights
You can ask to:
- access your data
- correct it
- delete it
- restrict or object to how we use it
- take a copy in a portable format
You can also withdraw consent at any time; unsubscribe links are in every marketing email. Email support@valuationstudios.com. We'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113). We'd appreciate the chance to fix it first.
Age
The Private Edition is for students aged 16 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) and passwordless sign-in. Access to data is limited to what's needed to run the service, and videos and files are delivered through expiring, access-checked links.
Changes
If we change this notice in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, email you.
